Default Wheres the EGR >.>

About 2 months ago SES light came on, i got it scanned and it was the EGR, it needed a good cleaning or be replaced. It went back off about a week later and hasnt been on since, until about 4 days ago. I took it to get scanned, the guy said it was some sort of sensor that circulated gases from exhaust to intake.. so i figured it was the EGR again, not a sensor.

Can anyone tell me where to find the EGR valve on a 98 firebird v6 (not an LS1 owner ) and what precautions i should take when taking it out to clean it.

The egr has the sensor built into it. The code will stay there unless you clear it. I think eventually after so many cycles it will be erased from the memory if it sees no more failures.

In the '98 3.8l v6 birds, it's between the power steering reservoir and your oil dipstick.
