Wheres the EGR >.> About 2 months ago SES light came on, i got it scanned and it was the EGR, it needed a good cleaning or be replaced. It went back off about a week later and hasnt been on since, until about 4 days ago. I took it to get scanned, the guy said it was some sort of sensor that circulated gases from exhaust to intake.. so i figured it was the EGR again, not a sensor.
Can anyone tell me where to find the EGR valve on a 98 firebird v6 (not an LS1 owner
) and what precautions i should take when taking it out to clean it.

The egr has the sensor built into it. The code will stay there unless you clear it. I think eventually after so many cycles it will be erased from the memory if it sees no more failures.
