Default Stock LS1 misfire at or around 2000Rpm

Need help, Just purchased an 01 Formula T/A. Engine is stock with an auto.
The engine has a major sputter or misfire at or around 2000 RPM. Sucks that is where the car runs at 65 with the cruise on the flats. Engine has 61K and the car runs find throughout the rest of the RPM range. Has anybody else experienced something similar. I am going tochange fuel filter and plugs. Pretty low mileage to have plugs or plug wire go bad but it is the easiest to try. No engine codes. Thanks for any help

My car has just over 100K on it and I have the same thing its just not all the time and not really bad. Some times I can only tell when the cutout is open because I can here it misfire. I cleaned my MAF and that seemed to help a little. TR-55's and MSD wires are going on next week and we will see what happens.
