Default shifted into 2nd at WOT and something went BOOM in the rear of the car

I searched around a little on the site and couldn't find an answer. I was giving my friend a test drive from a light and floored it through 1st and as soon as i hit 2nd something went boom in the rear of the car and now it makes a deeper clunking sound or a vibration. It's speed related, the faster i go the faster the sound. the car still drives and goes into every gear, it just makes that noise. I parked the car and when i push down on the back of it, it makes the noise, so i think it's suspension related (hopefully).. I doubt it's the diferential, it's a 12 bolt and i'm only pushing maybe 400 to the wheels. It's dark outside and my garage is taken up so i'm going to look at it tomorrow, just wondering what you guys thought.

so i looked at it today and apparently the bolts of the torque arm snapped off where it bolts to the rear end, it was rubbing my U-joint, now i gotta drill out the bolts and replace them. The t-arm was shifted over when i saw it. that was what snapped (popped) under hard acceleration.
