Default Water pump pulley

The water pump pulley on my LS1 has a pretty deep groove in it from the belt. The motor is in a dune buggy that had a lot of tension on the belt (recently replaced stock tensioner with a Katek unit) to keep it from throwing the belt. The pump is fine and has very little use.

Is there a way to replace the pulley? Looks like a pressure fit but I havent found any info on a puller or how to put one back on. Havent found an after market pulley that was all ready installed for the matter either.

I want to make sure that I understand. You have an LS1 engine installed in what you are calling a dune buggy. Is that correct?

Yes, you're understanding correctly. Turnkey Engine Supplies 500hp package. ARP fasteners throughout, ATI balancer, Cometic gaskets, all new bearings, and the Katek tensioner were added by Forrester Racing Engines (along with a rebuild of the heads while it was apart).

Looks like GM part number 12552059 for just the pulley. Says 98-99, but I don't see how it'd be different for the other years.

Any idea on removal/installation? Have you seen a nice looking billet pulley sold seperately? I could buy a whole kit if I had too I suppose.

Give Evans a call, I spoke to them last year about reworking a LS1 water pump. They can fill you in if the pulley can be removed or not.
