I'm thinking about just taking mine off.........and was just wondering has anyone on here done it?And if so how hard is it to steer?I only drive mine on the weekends and sometime not even then.so it's not a daily driver.

Not having power steering sucks entirely in parking lots and slow turns. Its worth fixing if you care about your car IMO. It also takes a lot of getting use to, or at least it took some adjusting for me on the few cars I've driven without power steering. It sucks when your trying to make a quick turn and the car doesn't respond nearly the way you expect it to.

With the car cold take the belt off and drive it around the block. Personally I wouldn't even consider deleting it.

yeah I know it would be kinda hard steering without a doubt. And also finding a belt that would work without ps.But the first 4 or 5 cars I had back in the mid 70's did'nt have ps either but they were built without it.One of the main things I was thinking get rid of ps drop the weight and also make room to work on the engine better.

Driving a vehicle without powersteering is completely different than driving one that was manufactured without it. +1 for leaving it.

Yeah I've found dieting to be the fastest and cheapest way to lower my cars weight
