exhaust rattle at start up
About a week ago I started noticing what sounds like an exhaust rattle when i first start my car cold. It goes away as the car warms up for about 5min. Any ideas what it could be? Im thinking maybe a heat shield? I still have to climb under the car and take a look.

Check your rear exhaust hanger bracket. the steel piece right by your muffler case might be broken. Mine did that a while back and that was the cause. Rewelded it and it's all good now.

Yeah mine was hitting the back bumper too, i lowered the exhast hanger and fixed that. but theirs still a slight rattle that I randmley get from the rear, must be a heat shield.

Had the same problem.
After tapping out my exhaust with a dead blow hammer I found out that it was the heat shield by the brake lines just behind the front drivers side wheel. I had to cut this when installing my SLP SFCs and it was the piece closest to the front wheelwell.

Well I got the car back today with the new cat on it. It turned out to be a bad cat and was all fixed under warranty. I cant believe the difference. With the old cat I felt like I had no power at low end. Now it feels like a whole new car I had no idea a bad cat could rob that much power from me.
