Cruise Control ...... what a headache!!
So when I installed my ported and polished throttle body, I took my car out for a spin and my cruise wasn't working.....I checked the cable, relays, and fuses but they were all fine.
Well, today I took it for a drive and noticed something.
When I hold the brake pedal all the way up with my foot, the cruise works.....
When I let it go, it will not .
Also, when I hold it up, engage the cruise, and let the brake pedal go, the cruise will work for a little while, but when I hit a bump it will go off.
I am thinking that my brake pedal is not up far enough? Does anyone know how to adjust this.
If I remember correctly, there is a sensor that tells when you apply the brake, and it turns the cruise off...can this be fixed??

You can't adjust the brake pedal but you can adjust the sensor. All you have to do is get under there and that sensor will be able to turn moving the contact point further away from the brake pedal. A couple of turns should do the trick.
