Default loud screaching from my motor!!!

Within the past two weeks I have been getting this horrible screaching noise from the front of my motor. I figured that it was a belt going bad, so I just changed both of them right now and the problem is still there. is one of my pullies bad?? it sounds like it is coming from my water pump. please help me out

Is it constant?
Does it increase and decrease with rpm?

Most of the time a belt squeal is a misalignment of the pulley(s), or a bad pulley.

I chased mine by taking the A/C compressor belt off to narrow that down. Luckily my squeal stopped when I took it off so I knew it was one of 3 A/C pulleys. My problem was my belt tensioner for the A/C belt had a stripped bolt and caused it to slowly get loose and therefore misalign itself, and squeal. My friend drilled it out, installed a steal sleeve and tightened it back down. Solved.

Could be any one of those pulleys though. Or, maybe an accessory needs to be tightened down.

Start it and run it a few seconds without any belts on and that will tell you if it's one of the pullies. Then you can use a stethescope to narrow it down to which pulley if that's what it is.

Most likely a pulley, seems to be a common problem on theses cars.

Do the weeding out process and you'll find it.

A clogged PCV valve can make a horrible screeching sound like that too.
It happend to my TA, I thought it was a pulley, sounded just like it.
I was trying to figure it out one day while it was squealing, I pulled the oil dipstick out for some reason and it stopped. Checked the PCV valve and it was clogged up pretty bad.

that sounds like it might be what it is because I was just trying to figure it out and was going to ask if Fuel injectors can make this sound because it sounds like it was coming from the top of the manifold area
