Dirty fuel filter? Fuel pump taking a crap? Check fuel pressure/volume.
Mods?
Check engine light? If so what are the codes?
How does it run after it starts?

switch your ignition relay and your cranking relay and see if it gives you a problem with cranking afterwards.....I had what seems like the same identical problem at one times.

Maybe your VATS took a ****...or is about to. That's what happened to my car too. The VATS is the Vehicle Anti Theft System that disables the ignition and it's activated by that little chip on your key. It's not the key that's bad, it's the VATS system inside your steering column. It gets progressively worse. You stick the key in, turn it, but nothing happens, and then all of a sudden it starts. At first it takes like 2 or 3 attempts, later it takes more and more until finally it just won't start at all.

The fix is to bypass the VATS using resistors. Do a search for it on here, it's a pretty simple fix and I haven't had any trouble since. I had found directions on here somewhere, so they are out there. My buddy followed the directions after I bought some resistors at Radio Shack and it fired right up and hasn't failed me since.

Good luck!

One last note have you messed with any tuning so???are? Sometimes you need to perform a PCM to BCM 'relink'.
