Default Fuel overfill?

This has happened twice now in a week at two different gas stations. When I filled up with 93, it filled it too far and spilled a good bit of gas down the side of my car. Why would this randomly be happening? I've never had this problem in the 7 months that I've owned it so far.

Is the nossel down far enough? if not there must be something forcing it to get caught on the way down. could be the station itself

The nozzle was down as far as possible both times. This was at two different (not even the same brand) gas stations. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Did you try to force any more gas in after it clicked (you shouldn't)?

That happens on our Jeep every time. Never had it happen on my LS1 cars though.

Nope. I have never done that on this car and never will.
