Default I think my horn is broke... sounds really wimpy

Don't our cars come with a dual horn? It sounds like only one of mine is working. Not sure what could have gone wrong. Any tips on how to troubleshoot it? Any ideas on aftermarket horns that sound more beefy???

Mine does it and i kinda like it bc my car sounds so mean, and then i honk the horn and everyone kinda laughs but to each their own..

As for your question maybe you need to take the horn off and possibly clean it bc maybe something is blocking the airway on one of them

Haha my horn sounds wimpy too

I just give it a little rev instead of honk.

dual horn.... yes... hi and low note... located passenger side under fog light.... there is an access panel 10mm and a 13mm bolt to remove the horn assembly.... pep boys fiamm horn is a replacement.... a few years ago is was a direct replacement but it seems the later model has a revised connector but then again one of my g/f have a g6 and the pep boys horn is a direct replacement.... not hard to hard wire the horn in...took me 15 mins from start to finish

Horns are over rated anyway, a little rev tap works just fine!

the original horns have a screw on them, sometimes covered by a dab of silicone. turning the screw in/out will change the sound or even make it quit completly if not adjusted correctly. its easiest to remove the horn and test it with a jumper wire while making the adjustments.

My horn is wimpy too. Someone cut me off the other day and my girlfriend said, "why don't you honk your horn at him?" So I threw it in nuetral and gave him a rev, his hand immediately went up and said sorry through the mirror (I can read lips).
