Default Engine removal

How much does it usually cost a shop to completely remove the engine from a car?
Thanks.

My car has never been to a shop other than my own though, but everyone says you must pull the engine from the bottom that I've talked to, but that is crap, I yanked mine right out of the top with the hood still on.
