Default What to use to remove oil stains in garage?

Well, I set down the oil pan and somehow it leaked all over the floor overnight. I discovered a crack at the bottom. I tried using some brake clean to get it out, and while it did work some I need something a little more heavy duty. what do you guys use?

Go to any auto parts store and tell them you need floor dry. It's kinda like cat litter and not to much more expensive, but it works way quicker. Just spread it on the floor let it sit for 5 minutes or so and sweep it up with a good shop broom. It should remove almost all the oil and grease. After that if you still need to just use some soap and water and a mop.

It's real cheap and it's probably going to work better than pressure washing.

Yeah the stuff is amazing. I go to Wyotech and we use a soap version of the stuff on the floors usually every friday and the floors still look brand new.

Yep, Oil-Dry, comes in up to a 20 lb bag I believe, and the stuff works wonders. Plus it's less than $5 at Pep Boys.

Kitty litter and other absorbants work good for spills but if the stain is in the cement. Use a thing called TSP, you should be able to get it at most hardware stores (usually paint dept). Its used to remove oil to prep surfaces for paint. Comes in a box like a milk carton (white). Wet the floor, add some of this, scrub and rinse... Works amazing, and its cheap.
