Default Burnt Coolant Smell Through Dash Vents

I am smelling a burnt coolant smell through my dash vents, regardless if the car is running or not.

My floor board carpet is not wet on either side, and there have been no noticable leaks, or traces of coolant left on the ground.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Yes, coolant level looks fine. I've been keeping an eye on my oil level as well, just to make sure, and my oil level is consistent.

Are there any quick checks I could do to start eliminating some things?

Probably the heater core.

I agree! Either that or there is a intermitent leak under the hood and coming threw the vents, but I bet it's the start of a bad heater core. Just keep an eye on it before the carpet starts getting wet.

i agree 100% with WFOW66_IL if its not the heater core then its a small leak and the smell is coming through the vents.
