Default Differential Fluid

I plan to change my Differential Fluid this weekend.

Question is, is what Brand do you guys use? Also whats the GM additive I need. People say you dont need it but i figured what the hell it wont hurt to add it.

For '99-'02 cars, use synthetic 75w90 (GM LSD additive is optional).

For '98 cars, use conventional 80w90 + GM LSD additive (required).

im doin it this weekend too. im using 75w90 like rpm said. but im using royal purple max gear. it has the slip additive already in it.

Which automotive stores carry royal purple max? Autozone / Advanced Auto / Pepboys?

i got it from pepboys. they say that advance carries it, but the ones i went to didnt carry it anymore.

Why can't you use synthetic in 98s?
