There are two (I THINK two, may be only one) small metal brackets with felt on the metal that contacts the window that help keep the window sturdy, and over time these can be broken or come loose. They are many a times also the culprit of wearing your window tint on your windows. Pull the door panel and check those, wish I knew the PN for you.

Both mine just started doin the same thing. This is the single most annoying thing about t-top cars. There's no frame around the window so these windows always have parts breaking. My 87GN and 96RS were both the same way. You get them fixed and sometimes not even a month later they are doing it again.
