Default Window electrical problem

ok here is the deal bought a 99 trans am that had been hit in the front well when they were loading the car to get it fixed they rolled the driver side window down and it would not roll back up. Well go the car home and put a new window motor in it and as soon as i pluged the switch in the window rolled back down and will not roll back up, so all i can come up with is that it is somehow hung in the auto roll down mode anyone know how to by pass or got any other info for me thanks

Sounds like a problem with the switch. If dicking around with the switch doesn't work, worst case you could always unplug the connector from the switch and short the wire on the "up" side of the switch to the middle wire. Once done you could just leave the switch unplugged until you could replace it.
