Default Car wont turn off!!!!!!!!!!

I was driving my car all day with no problems and now it wont shut off!! I can take the key out and the head lights stay on and the car wont shut off. My trunk wont pop open either. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the car starts but still wont shut off. I need to put it in gear and kill it then unplug the battery. please help me

seems to work fine now. maybe ignition switch was stuck inside

Ive had my car start right back up after I shut it off and was in the process of taking out the key. Never found out why it did it though.

Note to self... Don't park too close to the front wall in the garage with my M6...

actually my ignition wire was shorting out with my battery wire.

you dont want your ignition switch getting stuck. happened on my 68 GTO and it got stuck open, like it kept trying to start after the engine was running, eventually started heating up and smoking. if i didnt kill the engine, it probably wouldve caught fire...again
