Default Help please!

I drove through water while on the road, maybe 1-2 inches of it. After I went through my service engine light came on, and there was serious hesitation in acceleration. I would push down on the gas and the rpms would increase, but I wouldnt go anywhere. Then all of the sudden it would jump and lurch forward. Then suddenly it stopped, and then it drove fine.

The light also came on( it shut off two minutes later) when i got it washed, but no hesitation at all.

Anythoughts to as what my problem might be?

I appreciate any help.

Also I had some rough idling at stoplights when the light was one.

Since the SES came on there should be a code(s) stored in history - see if Auto Zone/Advance, etc can read it for you.

sorry to hijak but I did the same thing. Not sure if the 02 is fried. RIght after i went through the water I went to autozone and it showed my pass front (no rears because of the LTs) was bad. Then today I was gonna take it to the shop I always go to and at first it was studdering bad and jerking and would barely hold an idle at a stop. Then after about 5 min of cruising on the freeway it cleared up and ran just fine, scaned it and no codes. Then after i got home and let it sit for about an hour I started it and it did it again. After running for about 2 min in idle its almost like i can hear a "click" and it runs just fine. It seems the longer it sits not running the longer it has to run to get back to normal..
