What makes you think it is low on freon? Does the clutch engage?

Do the vents not blow cold? How about the top dash vents, do they work? Or is it just the floor vents? It could be that PITA little plastic thing that always goes bad. Check for vacuum leaks, since the AC is vacuum controlled.

get someone to put a gauge on it and post up your high and low side readings.

If the compressor clutch is not engaging, then it could be a dozen different things causing that, low side switch, high side switch, relay, fuse, the clutch coil itself, etc. etc..

High pressure switch is usually on the compressor itself. Try just jumping the low pressure switch at the connector with a fused test lead and see if the compressor doesn't come on.

Unplug the connector and jump the two terminals (connector side, not the switch) with a wire, hell a paper clip will even work in a pinch.

If the clutch engages, then you know that much of the system is working. To test the switch, unscrew it from the accumulator and measure resistance across the two terminals. If you have good continuity ( 1-2 ohms) then you know the switch contacts are closed and the switch is probably okay. Then try plugging the switch back in while it is still in your hand, the compressor should engage just like when you used a jumper wire. If it does not, try a new switch and see what happens.

Some people man gee wizz my a/c no work but I want to add freon with out checking the pressure. Then I expect the internet to come up with a magical diagnosis for me with out giving them proper info.

Well since you refuse to tell us the pressures then I will tell you how to make it take a charge. Hook up to the low side, open your valve keeping can upright you do not want to do a liquid charge, sometimes I will hold the can upside down for 1 sec or so with really stubborn systems. Jumper your switch and it will suck the refrigerant in. When the system shoots out a lot of refrigerant thats when you know you have popped the higher pressure release.
