Default cooling fans not turning on

So my electric cooling fans aren't turning on at all. I just replaced the radiator and I don't think I disconnected anything from the fans, but the car has been disassembled for almost a month so if I did I don't recall.

The 2 connections that connect to each of the fans are connected and the fuse is good. Are there any more connections to the fan assembly?

Has the car been sitting outside the whole time? You might check the relays (there are three).

Did you go through shoebox's guide? Maybe the ECT sensor got damaged or is unplugged? I'd try jumpering the DLC pins and see if they come on.

Check the relays anyway....I think there are two for the fans.

I had one go bad out of the blue....it was only like $10 for a new one.

I think that is the only time my fans come on, unless I can't hear them.

My car did this recently. The right fan would come on with the A/C. It turned out to be the fan #1 relay. Hope this helps. Also, you can remove the relays and jumper the pins to make sure the fan works. Just make sure you use a fused wire and/or have plenty of fuses available. You can also disconnect the fan in question and hook it directly to the battery, same difference. Good luck......

Pins A and B on your car, http://shbox.com/1/dlc1.jpg Procedure is in the main link - DLC is under the dash to the right of the steering column.

have access to a multimeter? i'd check for 12 volts where the fans plug into the wiring harness.
