Default what to do after a flood? please read

First: When I came home the other night I found my car sitting in a flooded parking lot with water about an inch down from the door.. so thankfully no water got inside the car. I had to get in, start it and drive it away before the water got any deeper.

I'm going to change the oil, the transmission oil and the rear axle oil ASAP just for good measure. Is there anything else I need to do or should do? Anything at all that you can think of...

Second: My girlfriend had to drive through some deep water at an intersection (6 or 7 inches maybe) to get home that night in her 95 Toyota Camry. I'm going to change her oil as well. Is there anything else that needs to be done for her? What about her transmission (auto)?

As far as I can tell the cars are running as they did before.

I know cars are designed to get wet and drive through puddles but i've never experienced flooding like this before and I guess thats causing me to overreact. I just want to make sure the cars are OK.

All advice, experience, suggestions appreciated.

Thanks
