Default I got a light on my dash

I don't know what it is...

It looks like a box, with a water level, and an arrow pointing down inside the box.

I have no manual or anything.

I checked all of my fluids.

Sorry this is a stupid question.

add more coolant to the little black bottle and if the radiator needs more it will take it if that does not make it go away you prob have a bad sensor

If you are able to be here, you can find a manual as a download and have it on your computer.

99% of the time this is due to a bad sensor rather than the coolant actually being low. The sensor is in the radiator about 4 inches below the cap. If you don't feel like replacing it (they are about $50) you can just unplug the connector and the light will go out. Take your battery out to gain access to the connector.

Where did you purchase your coolant sensor? GM

Is there another place where you can buy them that you know of?

Thanks in advance

I didn't buy one, I just unplugged it. You can get it from any online GM parts site, gmpartsdirect.com for example. Part number is 10096163.

thanks.
The coolant was my first assumption, though I knew it couldn't be the problem.
Probably the sensor.
Thanks a lot.
