Default Need some quick help with idler pulley issues

So I was getting a pretty bad squek noise, not a belt squeak but something else. Slipped the belt off and the idler pulley was pretty loose. Bought a new one, put it on, and that solved the issue. I drove the car for maybe 15 mins and then it started squeaking again, this time it sounds like a belt squeak. The car also drops way down on the RPMs then comes back up. Could the belt be on too tight or something? Is there a recommended torque spec for the pulley? It starts to squeak when the engine gets over 2k. I am heading to the track tomorrow morning and need to get this resolved before the AM. Thanks all.

Pull the belt off and spin your alternator by had. Mine did that because the bearing was on the way out.

Took the belt off and spun everything. Nothing makes any noise. Also, when I spray some lube on the belt it stops squealing. It eventually comes back though. So, if I change the belt I should be good to go correct? Thanks all.
