Question LS1 Oil Leak

I have a small oil leak coming from my LS1, it seems to be by the rear of the motor on the passenger side. It seems the oil is gathering where the trans meets the motor right at the bottom. I can also see some oil on one of the starter bolts, the one that is higher up in the engine. I will try and get some pictures later but it only leaks a drip or 2 a day. I just had a new stall put in so the transmission came out during that. Do you think something could have went wrong when it was put back in? If it was the rear seal, would I see anything when I pop the inspection cover on the trans, like oil or something all over everything? cause It seems clean in there

Sounds like a rear main seal from what you are describing.

But would I not see oil when I pop the little inspection plates on the trans? I can see the converter and it doesnt look like oil is on it and everything seems clean in there.

Well your flexplate is in front of the convertor. Oil can hit the side of the flexplate facing the motor and drips down.

Yea, I think it is one of those 2. I will have to drop the starter and see what it looks like.
