Default at a cold start car doesnt want to hold an idle

when I start my car and it has been sitting over night, it idles weak and almost dies. after i rev it up for a couple of seconds it holds on just fine. I am wondering what is up with it? I changed to a ported and polished stock throttle body a little while ago and i had to turn up the idle a little bit, but i dunno why it is doing this.

let it get in to closed loop and operating temp before you take it out. it will act cranky otherwise.

check your idle air control to see if its dirty, also your ECT sensor might be malfunctioning .
