AC makes a weird tick+sound when tuned on??

AC makes a weird tick+sound when tuned on?? i know there is soppesed to be some sound, but this seems to be different then all my other cars i check. does anyone else makes any noise

its under the hood, for sure, but still has a ext warrenty, soo i might just take it in. i heard gunning it big time on starts with it on is bad , and im not sure if i did that

mine was making noise while the A/C was on only...it did it for months and my A/C worked fine, so I didn't bother taking it in. Finally the A/C went out and they said the compressor had broke...something about it couldn't keep the pressure up on one side vs the other??? I can't remember, its been a few years...but I had to replace it and it has worked fine since...bad news...it cost ~1G to fix
