Im not too sure if GM makes anything like it, but for MARINE applications I know Mercruiser(who use only GM engine Blocks) have something called "storage seal", spray it down Carb and into each spark plug hole, stop rust forming, thats the only thing i can think of thats like it....might be useful for your storage, how long do you figure it will be til you use it?

alot of people wrap the motors in thick plastic wrap to prevent anything ( dirt, bugs etc.) from getting inside.

Some also stuff the cylinders with clean terry cloths ( or washcloth etc.) also to prevent anything from getting inside.

Some might not be necessary, but better safe than sorry.

Visqueen aka shrinkwrap. That is a really good idea. If this is temporary just make sure there is oil left in the motor. Wipe it all over everything liberally.

Look into the waxy stuff that gun collectors use. COSMOLINE It can be removed and protects for 5 years. Plus, I am sure it is readily available. Gun stores are all over. Looks like ear wax.
