Default Carpet soaked on driver front side ??

like the thread says, it did rain the other day, the carpet on the driver side front seat is all wet on the 99 vert. there are no noticable leaks around, not really sure if it was from the rain or what. anyone have an idea ?

Tom

^^^ It's funny you mention that because I usually park on the flat and have never had a water problem. But the other day after parking on a down hill and not driving the car for a week I noticed I had water on the drivers side passenger floorboard. It was fairly deep too, I had to suck it all out with the shop vac and then put a few towels down and finally blow dry it. I was a little worried at first since I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

i had a some water on my passengers side carpet and floormat after a huge rain! rained for 4 days straight. no other water anywhere. It wasnt the heater core and my t-tops dont leak as far as I know. I was wondering where it would of came from, I might need to check this drain plug.

I have been getting alot of small leaves going into the firewall area from this tree my car sits under, and this is the first time I have gotten water like this in the car, and its in the same spot all the time. I hose off my car every few days to try and keep thing off of it like leaves and stuff. Hopefully the constant water I shoot down in there will clean it up some. I have an air gun also so i need to find out where to shoot it at.

x2 on the hood cable grommet. A previously trusted shop that was doing some paint work for me left my car outside overnight I ended up with a puddle in the same area. I had them remove and replace the baffling so it wouldn't mold.

I would say hood grommet, but that wouldn't explain the puddling under the rear seat. Sounds like a leak around the hatch or bottom of roof area. Good luck
