Hard steering?

Hard steering? 2000 WS6 has hard steering (steering wheel is hard to turn).
Had it gone over by several people and they all said it was fine.
Dealer checked pump and claims everything is working normally.
I have tested 3 other fbodies and all steering is much looser.
I was told to replace the rack and pinion which I plan to do next.
Any ideas on how to correct this problem would be helpful.

wish i had an answer for you but i'm going thru the same situation. They basically say theres nothing wrong with my SS but when i get in my 06 tundra and even my 91 camry its like night and day diff in the sterring. Could you let me know where you order you rack and pinino from and how you like it when you get it? thanks, Randy
