Window tint...how to remove
My dad bought a 98' TA of this guy from around here and wants to get rid of the tint in the car. It's peeling and bubled. What is the best way to get this stuff off?

Tinting is what I do. I usually don't use harsh chemicals. Except on the back glass if it has a defroster. The key is heat and several new razor blades. If you can do it outside on a warm day it will go a lot smoother. This can be tough in the winter but just wait for the warmest day you have. Use a new blade on each glass. This is the most common mistake but blades get dull after a few minute of scraping. As far as the chemical I just use plain old Windex. Start a corner, pull it off in 1 piece and scrape the glue. If you have a defroster, use the stronger chemicals as needed and scrub it with a white scotch brite pad

We use a steamer some but not a lot. The only time it is really good is on a back glass with defrost or if the film is coming off in little pieces. All it does is heat up the glue to break it down. It still doesn't do as good as sunshine imo. There is no substitute for natural heat.
