Default Jacking Up The Rear

How is it done? We are trying to get the back up, adn when we looked at the diff. the sway bar runs right under it? Where is the best spot to jack the car up from?

You can put the jack under the diff, you just have to get the jack in behind the sway bar. Try placing the jack under the rear from the corner of the car, then raise the jack to make contact with the diff, then swing the jack to the center of the rear of the car and begin lifting. Don't forget to chock the front tire(s). That works for me.

Another thing, especially if your car sits lower than stock, is to park the car on 3/4" plywood squares, or something that will slightly raise the car to allow easier jack access. HTH.

You didn't mention the front was up already. That changes things - you will have to lower the front to their lowest position on the stands to allow for adequate clearance in the rear. Since my car is lowered, I use ramps first on the front, then jack the rear up onto stands, then put the front on stands. That's what I had to do when I pulled my transmission out.
