Default Driver Side Window Motor

I just had mine changed this morning and the mechanic said that there was some rust in the motor part. Are Fbodys(Trans Ams) have a leak somewhere next to window motor. I cannot figure it out where the leak would come from?

I've changed several F-body window motors, don't know what he meant by rust in the motor part? Usually the just go bad. Haven't seen any water intrusion inside a door yet.

well when he took the motor out you can see some rust on the outside. The motor was already replaced so this is the 3rd time to be replaced. He also saw some moisture inside the door frame. Dont know where it came from? The rubber stripping is in place. dont know what else it could be.

Bent regulator arms can contribute to premature motor failure. Bad connections and in your case, the drivers side express down module could be causing a voltage drop to the window motor.
