I just got 2 codes P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
P0174 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2


I had these 2 codes come up a few days ago but since the car was running alright i just cleared them and waited to see of they came back. Well last night they did.


I checked my fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Pump primes to 60psi then drops to 55psi and holds steady. With the engine running i get a steady pressure of 55 with no fluctuation at all even under hard throttle. So i'm assuming that at least everything from the pump to the fuel rail is working properly.


Anyone have these codes before and what did you find was the problem?

Thats a vacuum leak. Check the intake gaskets

Found the problem. It was the rubber elbow coming out of the TB that connects to the EGR hose. It collapsed and cracked.
