ttt.. i hope i can fix the problem i have been trying to trace it down for so long!! the car has no low end torque and it hesitates and vibrates under load!!!! i kno my cats may be bad due to the rotten egg smell but why the hell will it keep throwing po171 and po 131 and the codes only come on after the car warms up!! it has something to do with open loop and closed loop!

my car acts the same way, using autotap i found my bank 2 sensor 1 not acting the way the bank 1 sensor is. My car also hesitates, vibrates under load, misfires under load as well but smooths out when the rpms climb. AND it drives just fine in open loop, but once my car hits closed loop thats when it drives like crap. So my o2 sensor is taking a crap, and im willing to bet we both have the same problem.

If you don't have emissions in NM just have the damned things tuned out. I have plugs in all 4 of my o2 sockets and I got 26 MPG on the highway the other day in my A4. Thank you HPTuners for letting me not have to put up with that ridiculousness anymore!

i had the same problem with getting a lean code on bank 2 with my car, and since it was tripping a lean code the pcm basically goes into (oh **** me mode) and pours the gas in causing it to run super rich

i was starting to foul out plugs and everything the best thing to do in that situation is even though it narrowed it down to one bank, the other o2 sensor is probably messed up too since they dont like to be filled with carbon, i finally fixed it by replacing both sensors and disconnecting the battery to reset the pcm (might not be necessary but i figured it would be worth a try) and everything cleared up and is all good. But running rich in your situation since your still running cats might have clogged they up pretty bad so that might be another problem to chase if it still runs crappy after you replace both front 02 sensors

And i know i am OBD 1 and you're OBD 2 but your problem sounds exactly like mine did
