Rhino Ramps...anyone have a problem w/theirs slideing?
Just went out to change my oil, I have had the same pair of Rhino's for all most 3 years for my other smaller cars & trucks, all of a sudden they want to slide out while I am pulling up, WTF? Is this a common f-body rhino problem? I had to jack each side of the car up, place the ramp, then do the other side...time for new ramps?

I use old carpet squares and/or the rubbermaid drawer liners. My garage floor is coated and the ramps slide around. I also lay the liners out in front of the ramp about one foot so the tire gets a grip when going up the ramp.

Never had a problem with my car making them slide, concrete floor non-coated.
Although with the wifes old car(front wheel drive) I gave it a little too much gas about half way up the ramp and spun both ramps out from under the tires. The car landed on the ramps about half way back on the front doors. Luckly it did not hurt the car one bit but about a 2" cut in both ramps where the body seam landed on them. I should buy new ones but I still use them ocationaly but always put a floor jack under the car before I get under it.

Yes!
Mine have slid from day one and I have a smooth garage floor. They have rubber bottoms, but the rubber still slides.
I took an old rubber mat I had laying around and cut it in half. I placed each half under the ramps. That stopped them from sliding.
Now, they will only slide if I go too slow and spend too much time on the middle of the ramp while going up. It's like the weight of the car is just enough to push them out. I just have to be brave and give it enough gas to make it all the way up in one shot - and then, of course, stop before rolling off the edge.

A few years ago when backing up on mine, I didn't notice the rubber boot had popped off of one of the ramps. Well, minus that rubber boot, in reverse with a sticky clutch... the tire grabbed that single ramp and jerked it up under the car... resulting in the ramp residing in FRONT of the rear wheel. Was quite an ordeal, but luckily I had SFC's as they caught the ramp. No damage whatsoever, but it'll definitely make me triple check the ramp rubber boot next time.
