Default Power Steering Issue

So the steering is a bit loose and wobbly. I checked the fluid and it was full. I know the p/s pump has been replaced in the last year and am not really sure what it would be.

I had that problem... so did mvvette97 and to fix it I tightened a little 10mm bolt that connects the steering nuckle to the rack&pinion thingy...

hope that helps... the description sucks I know..

So check connections essentially and make sure they're all tightened?

Is it the steering wheel or the does it feel more like it could be the rack?

yeah... mine was at the end of the steering linkage where it slides onto the shaft of the rack..... I didn't even tighten mine 1/16 of a turn and it made a night and day difference.

It's the rack itself, the wheel is on tight. At least it feels tight and it seems wobbly like the rack itself

it's the pinch bolt that goes from the steering shaft to the steering box. have someone shake the wheel and see what's moving under there. do it with the key on/engine off. you could have a wore-out rack that needs replacing though. it could be the tie rods, too. good luck
