Default ginding headlight motor

Im new to this site and i think im doing it right. I bought my 1998 Formula about a 2 months ago and i noticed that when i turn my lights off they go down but the drivers side grinds for about 5 seconds after they are down. What could it be any help would be appreciated thanks

I bought this car for 4000 perfect condition 10000 on new motor with forged crank,rods,pistons, ported and polished,true duel exhaust and aluminum driveshaft

Headlight gear, you can buy a kit to replace it, i know of a place that sells them for like 50 for a kit, i think theres a sponsor on here selling for 80? i dunno exactly...but it is the gear causing the problem for sure.

hm, had no idea autozone could sell some, the nylons are obviously inferior but at a price like that it might be worth looking into.

yeah i felt the same way when mine went bad....couldnt really pass up just payin $15 because if the gear wasnt the problem, i woulda been out like $90

so would i be better off trying the autozone ones first or go for the top quality parts. I just want it to stop!
