Front wheel bearing replacement
How feaseable is it to try to replace the front wheel bearings on a 99 TA yourself? I have a bad wiggle in the steering between 50 and 60 despite new tires and having them properly balanced. Although the alignment may be off a bit and i still havent got that done i feel a slight bit of play on the passenger side assembly when i give it the wiggle test on the lift. The car has 133k on it and they may still be the originals. I do have quite a few resources/tools etc by the way.
P.S. And although the wheel spins freely it does have a faint grind noise to it.

I haven't replaced mine yet, but when I did the front brakes, it looked pretty simple. If I remember correctly, after removing the caliper and rotor, just 4 bolts hold it on.
It's a one piece sealed unit.

Getting the old hub off can be a challenge, which is overcome by a light wack to the one of the back sides of the ring that holds the studs.
Very important to unplug the sensor connection first. A lot of people forget and end up breaking the wires when the hub comes off.
When you put it back on, its also very important to torque the bolts to the right spec and install them with threadlocker. (So they don't wiggle out on you.) I don't have the proper torque on me right now but can pass it along if you need it.
Like the earlier posts, I also recommend using a name brand replacement. I just replaced mine with Timken hubs (they make units for OEMs) and was able to get them for $120 a piece.

For as simple and cheap as it sounds i think ill tackle this myself, and if it dosent fix the problem then it will at least be two more new parts on my 133k car and one possibility to no longer consider. Thanks guys and if anyone can get those torque specs id be appreciative.
