Default 160 T-Stat & water pump.....210?

At the beginning of March I put a Meziere electric water pump w/160 T-stat in my 99 T/A. When it was still cold outside (near freezing) the temp gauge would only be around 170ish after a half hour of driving. Now, when it's 60 degrees + out, the gauge is reading almost 210, which is where it was with the stock pump & t-stat. Anybody have any ideas?

yeah electric water pump only helps a little in around town driving, but its mostly for just a little extra HP. and the 160 t-stat only means that it opens sooner, it doesn't lower the temps by its self, u need to get the fan temps tuned to match.

+1.. t-stat will allow the engine to run cooler only if the air temp and fans allow the engine to run that cool. Change the Fan settings to come on at a cooler temp.

Well plus the factory temp gauge is trash and doesn't read right.

As previously said, need to lower your fan temp as well.....

I've got a Superchips tuner and it has a setting that allows me to turn the fans on at 180 once I install my 160 t-stat

'99 and up F body temp gauges always read 210 when warmed up, they are dummy gauges.
