Can't you just adjust the exhaust.???? Not sure if taking the shield away would be okay..

the shield is there so the heat from your exhaust doesnt mess up any of the sensitive electronics and lines underneath your car. play around with it and see if you cant bend it just enough where it doesnt hit. but make sure you dont bend too much or it will mess up the back pressure

Do not remove the heat shield. Try to adjust the exhaust, if not bend the heat shield a little. But whatever you do DON'T REMOVE IT!!

I've never swapped motor mounts, but ive heard them being a pain when you have LT's installed. That's why everyone does them when they are doing headers and have the stock manifolds off.

I think your best bet is going to be trying to re-adjust your exhaust, and then do poly motor and tranny mounts, even though it is a PITA with LT's

If your exhaust is hitting the heat shield, you can just do like me and many many others have done and get a piece of 3/4 in heater hose, cut it down the middle and to length, then find where the exhaust is hitting and find a bolt near there and use a bolt to hold the hose in place. I did that on my banging y-pipe and it made such a great difference.

You should definitely throw on some poly motor mounts. It helps alot with holding the whole motor and exhaust still.

You dont need a relocation bar, you need to address the spongy motor mount. Most people get away with just doing the drivers side. The passenger side is hard if you have a/c, you have to move it if you do. PIA. The drivers side is easy enough.
