Default Tail light works but not brake light?

My left brake light doesn't come on. However, when my headlights/parking lights are on, my left tail light work. I can see two bulbs lit up in the assembly. Right tail and brake lights work. Is the brake light separate from the tail lights (i.e. I have a burnt out brake light)? If not, any ideas what's going on?

they are dual filament bulbs for the brake/ stop lamps

also check your brake switch located on the pedal assembly

Thanks. I didn't want to waste time changing the bulb if there was no way that it could be the problem.

If your right brake and 3rd brake lights work, your brake switch is fine. Likely causes are bulbs, connections, sockets, grounds, or a break in the wiring from your brake switch. Try swaping the known good bulbs from the right side to the left side and check your sockets for corrosion or burns.
