Default Seriously does it really matter what oil we use?

I personally use r/p 10w30 but does it really matter has to what we use? Such has royal purple or mobil one or advanced or q or anything like that?

As long as it is not golden west or crap like that todays modern oils are damm near all the same are far as engine life expectancy etc out of a daily driven vehicle with a reasonable oil change interval. The big difference is the additive package or synthetic vs dino oil.

I use John Deere oil from my dad's shop.

I buy whatever is on sale at Autozone and make sure I change my oil every 3k. My WS6 does get syn oil though.

Why would you make fun of John Deere? Their manual tells me what oil to use but Deere does make the filter.

My take on oil - keep it fresh - miles and time in engine influence me - Race engines are different.

Just use regular non-synthetic oil, don't waste your money with synthetic oil. Its all hype.

LOL, I disagree , if you have a performance car use synthetic, as long as its FULLY synthetic you should be fine, AKA Mobile One, Royal Purple, German Castrol,
