Default AC belt squeaking, nothing helps

When I put my AC belt back on my car it was squeaking so I greased the bearings, didn't help, changed the belt--didn't help, put on a Gatorback belt--it helped for about a week, now the noise is back. What the hell do I do now?

it might be the actual ac compressor. you can try buying a new tensioner/pulley assembly first though. That did it for me - if the tensioner is too weak, it will trash the belt and cause squeaking

Try replacing the tensioner

I'll try the tensioner. When the original belt started making noise I sprayed oil on it to see if it was making the noise, it goes away when I spray the inside of the belt.
Pretty sure it's not the compressor.

Check all your pulleys too for cracks and/or junk down in the grooves. Don't forget the idler pulley also. I'm not really a fan of any kind of belts but OE. Had to many problems with anything but. Especilly ones from that company with 4 letters.

I thought of the alignment issue too and failed to mention it. If a pulley is worn it can cause the belt to wear funney and start making noise soon after replacement.

Does it squeal all the time? Or does it not do it on certain days or go away after awhile? My belts squeal for a for a few minutes at start up just from the dew/humidity on them.

It squeaks all the time, AC on or off. The gatorback belt was dead quiet but it's slowly getting a steady squeak back.
I'll have to check the alignment, the first ac belt was the original GM belt with 82,000 on it. It started making noise before I even put the condenser back in the car.
The main belt is the original GM belt and is quiet.
PS I bought the car as a roller and got a complete junkyard engine complete with the belts still on it. I had the compressor off during the engine installation, put it back on with the wire unplugged until I got the rest of the AC installed.
