Default Do Mods put alot of stress on the engine?

Such as a very mild street cam, ported TB, ls6 intake..
Biggest concern is the cam.. It's a comp 224/224 .581/.581 114lsa cam.
It's been in there 20K miles and as far as I know its mild street cam, so I'm guessing it should be alright.

thanks in advance

mods do put excess wear and tear on engines yes. with 20k miles with a cam i would do some preventative maintenance on the valvetrain to ensure it continues for another 20k without issues.

With 20K miles, I'd at the very least change the valve springs for peace of mind. It isn't expensive (relatively speaking).

With a cam, you simply can't expect stock-like reliability, but then again, these engines tend to last a long time if properly maintained, even with cams/heads.

Yeah the owner replaced the valve springs 6000 miles ago. If there's anything to tell me about maintaining a car with a mild cam and a torque converter, please let me know. I haven't ever had a car with those two things. Thanks guys

if he used stock replacement springs, your still going to need to get new springs to hold up to the higher lift of the cam. you really should just get a cam kit that comes with the new valve train parts your going to need. also do an ls6 oil pump and an ls2 timing chain.
