Default Water in the gas tank?????

my car was on empty so i went to one of the local arab gas stations to get some gas. i put in 10$ of gas which is what 2 gallons of gas. anyway after about 100 yards of pulling out of the station the car started missing and idleing VERY ruff. RPMs went down to like 2-300 rpm and i made it maybe 300 more yards and it died. so i went to the store and bough a can of dry gas and put in another gallon of GOOD gas and now it will start up and idle for maybe 10-15 secs and run really ruff and die. ive tried to start it for like and hour, nothing. do you guys have any suggestions on this.oh yea i recently installed a walboro 255lph fuel pump. however ive been driving the car for 3 days with no problems until now. the pump comes on and sounds strong. any suggestions? i dont believe its a pump issue b/c ive prob driven 30 miles on it with no issues and i happend all at once after putting gas in.

That sounds like the story of my pump. Car was running fine as I pulled in a gas station. After topping her off she would start, idle rough and then died. FUEL PUMP was gone. 800 dollars later I was driving again.

You could try changing your fuel filter.

If it is truly water in the tank then some alcohol additive should clear that up for you.

Hope it isn't your pump though. I guess it's luck that when you have a problem with a car it is usually the most expensive part that goes bad. Good luck.
