My air bag light has been on for a very long time. Why is this?

I had same problem after turn signal repair... Most likely your SIR Coil is not attached etc

SIR? What and where is that? Can I just reattach it?

Im not sure if you can reattach it... I had mechanic do it and they had to get a new one because it broke because it was attached wrong and the coils snapped... I guess if you are familiar with taking the steering wheel off etc you might be able to reattach it or possibly could be broke...

When mine was broke u can tell when u turn the steering wheel that it makes a clicking sound so u can hear that somethings wrong. Im not a mechanic someone else might have a better opinion but that was what my situation was

Go to the dealer and get the codes pulled. Then. Go to the sticky. Go to the ABS SIR thread.
Airbag guide. Follow the procedures there.
