Default Pissed as Hell

SO my car is in the shop again. Needs a new water pump, power steering pump and lines, and alternator. The water pump was replaced in 2005, the power steering pump and alternator in spring 2006. I cant believe that these parts need to be replaced 10-14k later. Going to be over $1000...

Those parts should have a warranty on them if you just got them done, especially the water pump. Odd that they all broke.

This is why I do my own work. Replacing all those parts you listed is about as basic as it gets.

How did all 3 parts fail around the same time???

Do all that stuff yourself in one afternoon. Alternator takes 15 minutes, water pump takes about 1 hour, maybe a bit more and the power steering pump I do not know.

My power steering pump and water pump are both original factory parts from 1998.....some of us are friggin lucky I guess. I changed my alternator in 2004.

Dude you should take your car back, buy the parts your self buy the tools you need and do it yourself and still be way under a grand spent and you get to keep the tools, the things needed done to your car are basic things that you can do yourself in 1 afternoon...

If I was at home and had access to my dads tools and his help, i would for sure do it this way. The car died tho and i need it for work and am at school 200 miles away so my options are limited. Its also finals so time if definitely not available. Seems like everything piled up at once, if this would have only waited another week when i was back home.
