Default Pop when accelerating. (Suspension)

For some reason, when I take off, with my front wheels turned, I'll hear a pop from, what sounds like the front suspension. Anyone know what it is? I don't think it's ever happened when the wheels are straight though. Only when I take off and they're turned. It's just a rather loud pop noise.

if you have your wheels really cranked to the side it could be a ball joint or something. My p/u truck does it and my 94 did it but I never bothered to investigate either. Another thing I just thought of, my tranny mount broke on my 94 and when I accelerated if felt like my car was going to fall apart. 2 things you might look at until someone else chimes in who may know more.
