I deleted the other thread with the poll. I'm not doing it.
Changed my mind. I think most automotive a/c work can't be properly performed by the average DIY'er.

You could write a general guidelines and just take pics from an fbody.

Talk about vacuming the system. How much oil for a new compressor....

Yea, one reason I gave up is because evacuating the system is the most important thing you can do that no one will do because they don't have a vacuum pump.

Plus I'd have to cover so much ****. So many people think evacuating means removing the refrigerant (recovering)

I mean damn I've heard some dumb **** and can cover it all right now, but you know what they say, just when you think you've heard it all........

Theres a recent thread here where a guy tells someone he needs to pump a vacuum into the system.

I like helping people but not that much.
Plus watch when I post a question, it goes ignored usually.

I agree with that. Plus your average person probably won't want to drop a minimum of $250 for a halfway decent vacuum pump. It's not like buying an impact or torque wrench...kind of hard to justify.

I'd still like to see a walk through, at least this way i know what needs to be down or how everything works so next time a mechanic is telling me about ac etc. i know what he is talking about. If you're still willing can you at post at least the average info.

I know my ac right now doesn't throw really cold air fast anymore. It takes a little while as before the ac shutted cold almost within seconds. Im not sure when to fill up with ac. I've seen the bottle how to put ac in. Put not sure if i have to take any out?
